Let me Do the photo for your charm.

You're just about to order one of my wedding bouquet charms and are thinking to let me do the photo for you, but it costs $5 more.
Here's what my customers say.

I increased the price of my add-on "Photo service"-  from $3 to $5.
Yes that's a big increase and here's why:
It's really EASY to do the photos yourself... (IF you have access to a printer, can resize a photo and have a little patience... ) or you may know someone that could easily do it for you.
My customers agree that it's rewarding and intimate to add your own photo to one of my charms, that's why they are offered as a DIY (do it yourself) ....  but the reality is, not everyone can or wants to do it.  So I started offering to do the photos (a couple of years ago) on my Etsy shop. It was so seldom requested and I enjoyed making them, so $3 was a good price.

It's not hard to add your own photo
I enjoy making them, although I often get teary or sad knowing that this person's image I am editing, is no longer with their loved ones and sometimes this is the only picture they have. So I do my best to fix what I can.
I rarely know anything about these fine folks, but just looking at their faces & what they are doing gives me a tiny connection as to who they were, and I want this photo & charm to be perfect to honour their memory for years to come!

It often takes a lot of my time to edit photos. The best ones have been scanned, but some  are thumbnails or smartphone photos of photos... (sometimes the original pictures are so old they are yellowed, cracked,  orfuzzy to begin with. )

Not all shoppers are techies, so I try to be as helpful as I can. One lovely mom actually mailed her only treasured pictures to me, so I could scan them, make the charms with the photos, and send her pictures back- with the charms :)  Luckily we had lots of time to do it that way.

I use a clear plastic dome "sticker" to enhance and protect each photo then cut each one to fit snuggly into it's frame.
Anyhow if I want to keep offering the service I should pay myself a bit for doing so.
I think you'll find that for $5 it's still a great deal!

I'd love to add the photo for you.

Photos of garden visitors.

I was hoping to do a "quickie" little post of some photos I've taken this spring... here's the photos, but I don't know how quick it will be :)

Osprey high up in our tree- using mega zoom

Some flowers in my garden :)

Robin, we have so many of them here, I call them my garden
"Drama Queens"  as they are pretty noisey :)

Stellar's jays visiting our patio looking for peanuts.

Stellar's jay- a quiet moment for a noisy bird.

A blue jay- a rare visitor here.

Sun- dog... mid summer halo around the sun.

I love creatures- big, small & even slimy :)

Wisteria in the front yard.

Our magnolia in full bloom.

Azalea in full bloom.

Not sure what kind of humming bird this is, but adorable &
fun to watch although very shy- even with a zoom.

Another robin... this one has a nest in one of our trees :)

Oh deer! How sweet- even if they do eat
most of my flowers :)

Bald eagle...using mega zoom :)

Stellar's jay visiting our little bird bath.

Not sure what kind of bird this is- perhaps a young kestrel?

Nuthatch defying gravity and hiding sunflower seeds
in the bark. I love their little buzzing sounds.

Raven on a post posing for me.

Another blue jay looking for peanuts :)

I hope you enjoy my photos.

Gargoyle on a roof

Gargoyle on a roof

There's something weird on this rooftop!
Zoomed in for a close-up from the front.

There are so many Historical buildings in our town. I should share some of them, later ... but this isn't a building I'm intrigued with, it's a gargoyle sculpture on a roof.

So many times I've driven past this house in Nelson, BC and caught a fleeting glimpse of this sculpture on a roof top. As I'm sure many of us locals have. It's been there for years but I've never seen it up close.

My curiosity finally got the best of me, so we took the time to stop & I walked around taking pictures & getting a closer look.

I'm thrilled to see it's made of metal, and has some amazing details like claws, scales, a cool tail and I wonder if he always sports the helmet & skis.

I don't know who made it, or if it has a name,
but it's pretty cool, and so I thought I'd share it with you :)
I'm sure a lot of Nelson folks have seen this, but not up close.

View from behind

A bit closer
Close up from the backside... love his scales!

Close up side view from behind, love his tail & the skis :)
Front view- OH NO! he sees me!

Love this pose.
Too bad the sun was behind him. I had to edit the photo to lighten up what looked like a silhouette.
Note to self: stop & take pictures again, but next time later in the day :)

With these charms I was able to hold them close to me and it was like they were still walking me down the aisle. They worked absolutely perfect and the color of the bead matched my bridesmaids' jewelry EXACTLY. I couldn't have been more happy with these charms! Thank you so much!
